My First Thanksgiving

Go Tarheels!!!

We have taken several days off to celebrate my first Thanksgiving. What a great time! It seems to me it is a time when people enjoy a “dog’s life”. They lay around on the couch and eat and take naps, go for walks and relax. It seems like a lot more fun than those days they get up early and rush and leave me here all alone to go to work.

Mom and Dad went to the Blessing of the Hounds with friends on Thanksgiving morning and then visited with my sister Danielle in Charlotte. There was great food. I actually had my first nibble of turkey. Yum!

Then there was a lot of football. I love laying on the couch as you can tell by my picture but I will never understand why Dad yells at the television. Dad is a big Carolina Tarheel fan since he is a Carolina Alumni and sometimes they go and watch those games because you can get there in just a little more than one hour. Since we live in North Carolina we also cheer for the Carolina Panthers and we can get to those games in two hours. Dad seems to yell at them a lot. If you are a sports fan whether it is football, hockey, baseball or even golf this is the place to be. For me it is a lot more fun to chase my own ball in the yard than to watch a bunch of people I don’t know chase their own ball.
